Malaysia : Dj Biggie

Dinesh Kumar a.k.a DJ Biggie is one of the youngest DJs to rise to stardom in Malaysia. At just 17 years old, he graduated from the prestigious Playaz Universe DJ School with goals of revolutionizing Malaysia's approach to DJing.
Combining a charismatic personality and remarkable turntablist skills, DJ Biggie never fails to rock the crowd with the confident ease of a seasoned performer. His natural talent for live performances was spotlighted when he placed in the final rounds of DJ battles hosted by Vestax and Pioneer. He subsequently won the JUICE DJ Quest in 2004 for which he earned the respect of his peers and thus highlighting him as a force to be reckoned with.
DJ Biggie's turntable skills are clearly demonstrated in variety, be it his performances alongside underground rap groups or as the opening act for international artiste concerts. Exuding a superfluity of talent and powered by years of experience, he has been a show DJ for local hip-hop heavyweights, Phlowtron, performing live on stage with them on various occasions.
He has also attained residency at most of the top clubs in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You could find him rocking the house at Loft. Mist Club and Cynna Bar, alongside MC Poi or MC Syze. Presenting a triple threat approach, they collectively raised sales, jam-packed clubs and thrown parties that go down as epic in the books of many.
His unsurprising talent in turntablism presented him with the opportunity to be part of the prestigious Kartel Hitmen collective, a group consisting of some of the most highly accredited DJs in the Asian Pacific region as well as the award for Best Hip Hop DJ 2009/2010 at the Choons Awards, a local DJ award event. DJ Biggie’s focus has now shifted to the altered dimension of music production. Currently working on DJ mixtapes and producing tracks for various artistes in Malaysia.
DJ Biggie is tipped to be the next big thing to hit the Malaysian music scene and is already making waves in international waters. He’s brought his brand of deck skills to India, Australia and the UK, all in a short span of 1 year, and is continuing to create a rather voluminous buzz for himself. Looking forward to further his career expansion, DJ Biggie has his nose to the grindstone, working hard on mastering his craft.
