The Villanz is made-up of three childhood buddies Pherkash (Kash), Jamal (J-mal) and Joshua (Capital-J).
History of this group goes back to 1999.
It was formed by Pherkash, the young upcoming talent who has been a DJ till 2004.
After gaining six years of experience as a DJ, Kash started pursuing his dream to create an album, and that's when in 2004,
Kash took a major step in his career as an entertainer by teaming up with Jamal and Joshua whom just happened to be
neighbours and school friends who shared the same desire for singing.
Finally, The Villanz music group was completed with three creative, energetic and enthusiasm members whom were
determined in their quest to launch an album that meets the needs of music lovers.
In early 2005, Kash started working on the lyrics, song composition and arrangements while Capital-J was working on the English rhymes. After merely 17 months, finally the first album was completed and launched on May 28th 2006 as "Asthivaram - The Rise of Foundation". They worked also on their first video clip for the amazing single "Asthivaram". Their debut album was highly nominated among local radio stations with wide airplay in THR.fm, Minnal.fm, Hitz.fm, Era.fm and X-Fresh.fm. In fact their songs have topped the THR Malaysian top ten chart countdowns for almost 15 weeks with their title song "Asthivaram" while "Siraichalai" was ranked second place for more than eight weeks in the same chart. Thus granted them with "2006 - Song of The Year" title for their main song "Asthivaram". They also won "Best Newcomer Award" at MIMI'07 and were nominated for the "Best Indian Album at - AIM 15".
After the grand success of their first album, The Villanz initially launched their second album on June 14th 2008. The album was called "Saagavaram - Authorities of God" with 15 hit tracks which includes the remake of "Fatimah". Through the second album "Saagavaram" they could win another award. Kash the member of the group worked together with Maney for the single "Aayirathil Oruvan". Through their album "Saagavaram" they won the award for the "Popular Album of the Year" on THR Raaga Radio Awards (12.10.2009). After this "Saagavaram" they worked hardly on their next huge project. It was a big budget album project ever done, produced by international record label, Media Monks (India) and In-house record label, V-Hommiez Ent. The album with the main title "Vaathiyar - The Kingdom of Janmavaram" was released on the first of May. They worked on this album for one year and three months. To the project "Punithamana Thulasi", Kash worked together with Diwan on the single "Karisal Kaatu Kuyile".
Next project called "Respecto to the fans" will released soon (10.09.11).
